Liverpool want two for the price of one
Liverpool have told Arsenal that it is only possible for them to sign winger Raheem Sterling if Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs are included in the deal.
Sterling, 20, has been an influential player for The Reds in the last two seasons but is ignoring contract negotiations with Liverpool and is expected to leave Anfield in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool’s Demands
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has told The Gunners that a deal will only be done between the Premier League rivals if winger Walcott, 26, and left-back Gibbs, 25, are included as part of the transfer of Sterling leaving Anfield for the Emirates.
The England duo have found chances limited in North London this campaign – with Walcott picking up reoccurring injuries and Gibbs has failed to retain his spot due to Nacho Monreal being on top form.
Arsene Wenger is still considering whether to let the duo leave the club for Sterling, who wants a move away from Liverpool.
