‘He’s not for sale at any price’
Liverpool have told European giants PSG that their no.10, Phillippe Coutinho, is not for sale at any price.
The attacking midfielder has been on top form so far this season for both club and country.
And because of this, the Reds have absolutely no desire to negotiate a sale of the Brazilian, who is a crucial part of Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Unai Emery’s PSG have been trying to lure the attacking midfielder to France for months.
And a £22.5m bid from the Ligue 1 champions was apparently rejected during the summer transfer window.
PSG remain keen on the former Inter Milan man, who joined Liverpool for £8.5m in 2013 under Brendan Rodgers, possibly the best signing the Irishman made while in charge at Anfield.
It’s thought that Liverpool will not be letting Coutinho go no matter what offer is made.
Coutinho only signed a contract extension 18 months ago, but his importance to the side is set to make Liverpool act again. They want to tie him down to a huge contract to fend off the big clubs such as PSG and Barcelona, who are also reportedly interested.
