Liverpool will have a new player in the coming days

Liverpool are preparing for the arrival of RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita after reportedly agreeing terms with the Bundesliga club that will see the midfielder arrive six months earlier.

Liverpool already signed the midfielder last summer for £51m but only on the condition that Keita would stay at Leipzig for the remainder of the 2017/18 season. This meant the Reds would finally get the player on July 1 this year.

But, after Coutinho’s departure, Liverpool are keen to have Naby Keita now for the rest of the season and have reportedly agreed on terms that will see him potentially arrive next week.

It’s reported by multiple sources that Keita, 22, will play his last game for the German outfit this weekend against Schalke 04.

It’s also reported that a company named NK8 LIMITED has been registered in London on the Companies House website with Keita listed as the director.

The Guardian report, however, that Rb Leipzig will want an extra £17m to seal the deal earlier.

Leipzig are fifth in the Bundesliga table and despite having been knocked out of the Champions League early, they are still reluctant to let the Guinean midfielder go half-way through the season.

Keita has had a rather poor season for the German club, with speculation that he’s ‘downing tools’ in order to secure an early move to Liverpool. It seems he’s no longer happy at Leipzig. He has only managed to score two goals in 13 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, compared to his eight goals and seven assists last season.

Some reports are even stating Keita could sign as early as Sunday but there are doubts about that.
