Liverpool will not be making any deadline day moves according to Brendan Rodgers. It was reported that he might offload strikers Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert and bring in a new forward.
However, that is not the case, with Rodgers claiming no late deals will be done. He said: “I said at the beginning of the window, we were looking to keep all the players here, so it’ll be a quiet window for us.
“With the group of players we have – and obviously the market dictates it as well – I am happy with how the team and the squad is developing and between now and the end of the season we’ll look to continue with that improvement. We want to keep all the players here.”
So for any Reds fans hoping that Brendan would do some late business, it looks like disappointment is on the cards as he will be staying out of the market before the 11pm deadline.
