Hugo Lloris has revealed he was terrified with he collided with Swansea’s Michu near the end of their match on Sunday.
The striker was able to walk away from the collision, but he was left laying on his back flat out straight after the impact.
As a high ball was pumped into the box, the Swansea striker jumped up for the ball, but the Tottenham goalkeeper got to the ball first and punched it away, but in doing so, also caught Michu right in the face.
Lloris said: “I was terrified when I saw him on the ground. I had to go for it and impose myself.
“I made the decision to punch and unfortunately there was a big collision.”
After physios ran onto the pitch, Michu was finally able to get up and walk off the pitch.
Lloris added: “It’s OK, he got up and it was more a fear than injury. I asked him several times, he said there’s no problem.”
The game ended in Tottenham beating Swansea 1-0 thanks to a Jan Vertonghen goal.
