Turkish giants desperate to land striker

Galatasaray are still desperate to sign Loic Remy from Chelsea this transfer window, according to reports.

The Turkish outfit expressed their interest earlier in the month, and according to fresh reports this morning, they are still keen on signing the out-of-favour striker.

Remy is currently used as a back-up option at Stamford Bridge, with Diego Costa the regular starter for Guus Hiddink.

With the lack of first-team football at Chelsea and the European Championships coming up this summer, Remy is desperate to leave the club, but has been told he will only be allowed to leave if they can find a replacement.

Due to the new club policy, Hiddink is working on a one-in/one-out transfer basis, so once a new striker arrives, Remy will leave or vice versa.

Interest in Remy

Remy is also wanted by a couple of Premier League teams, with Aston Villa and Newcastle United keen on landing him on a six-month loan deal, but Galatasaray officials have put him top of their wishlist for this month with striker issues of their own.

Burak Yilmaz is suffering with a hamstring injury, while his replacement Umut Bulet has scored just three goals so far this season.
