Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller next on the agenda

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has turned his attentions to new transfer targets this week, and it’s believed that a duo from Bayern Munich could be the next stars to arrive at Old Trafford.

After a busy week at the club last week, which saw Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin arrive, Van Gaal is now focusing on new transfer targets, and according to reports, he wants to bring in two faces from the Bundesliga champions.

Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller are on Van Gaal’s radar and could be the next high-profile stars to join The Red Devils, with the club set to take their spending over ÂŁ300million in the last two years.

Strikers Needed

After signing three midfielders over the summer and a right-back, Van Gaal is now ready to turn his attentions to striking options, and after seeing both Radamel Falcao and Robin Van Persie leave the club, he’s in need of options.

After the duo left Old Trafford, United are left with just Wayne Rooney and a young James Wilson as striking options, unless Van Gaal is ready to give Javier Hernandez a second chance at the club.

The Mexican was sent out on loan last year after being told he wasn’t in Van Gaal’s plans, but he may stick around this season if the club fail to land a striker.

Lewandowski and Muller are the two stars United are interested in, but they will come with hefty price-tags from the Bundesliga champions, who have already lost Schweinsteiger to the Premier League side.
