Luis Alberto set for season-long Malaga loan

Liverpool flop Luis Alberto is set for a move back to Spain with Malaga. He moved to Anfield from Sevilla for £8m last year but he has failed to make an impact on the first-team and he failed to make a single Premier League start for the Reds.

Now, it’s been reported that Malaga have offered a loan fee of £1m for the 21-year old. Brendan Rodgers does want to keep hold of Alberto but he doesn’t see him playing in the short term, so a loan move would be ideal. The Liverpool boss is also keen to bring in more top talent this summer and that money could go towards the signing of other players.

This also means that with more players set to arrive, the forward will fall further down the pecking order and Brendan Rodgers could be happy to accept this loan bid from Malaga, which would give Luis Alberto more playing time.
