Liverpool’s maverick centre forward Luis Suarez is aiming to get one over on Arsenal when the two meet on Saturday Lunchtime in a rather crucial Premier League clash at Anfield.

It will be the first game between the two since Arsenal’s emphatic win at the Emirates before the turn of the year.

And a rejuvenated Suarez is looking to get revenge following the conreoversial defeat.

The striker was heavilly linked with the Gunners in the last transfer window, with the bright lights of the big smoke seemingly catching the eye of Suarez, who claimed he wanted out of the Merseyside outfit.

However, the striker made up with Liverpool gaffer Rodgers, and ever since returning from a ben for biting Branislav Ivanovic, the striker has not looked back, and is enjoying an emphatic campaign.

Suarez, who signed from Ajax in the January of 2011, has been in terrfic form alongside fellow striker Partner Daniel Sturridge.

And he believes beating the Gunners on Saturday will provide a real morale boost going into the final two and a half months of the season.

Suarez stated….

“Arsenal are the leaders in the table and victory would be good for morale, give the whole squad an enormous injection and reduce the points difference at the top,” Suarez is quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror.

“We didn’t have success at the Emirates, so our objective now is to win and I believe we have that chance.”

Suarez admits he expects the race for the title and top four to go down to the wire and he knows Liverpool must improve their results against the top three after losing to Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea so far this season.

“It’s rare that everything could be decided on the last day, but we must keep going and to ensure that happens we need results against the other main candidates,” added Suarez.

Although the striker seems content on Merseyside, he has stated his desire to leave if Liverpool do not qualify for the Champions League this season, with Real Madrid ready to make a bid for the Uruguay forward.
