Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has shocked the footballing world by hinting that he could be prepared to stay at Anfield despite asking to leave the club all summer.
After months of comments in the press and admitting that he doesn’t want to stay at Liverpool anymore because of the damage done to his reputation, Suarez has now dropped a massive hint revealing that he could be prepared to end the dispute with the club and stay on with the Premier League outfit.
During the Confederations Cup, which Suarez took part in with Uruguay, the 26-year-old revealed that he doesn’t want to stay at Liverpool because of the lack of Champions League football and even said he doesn’t want to stay in England because of the damage done to his reputation.
Despite major interest from Arsenal, it now looks like the striker is ready to settle the transfer saga and remain a Liverpool player after he admitted that the fans support has been great.
“For now, owing to all the affection of the people, I would be staying,” he said.
Suarez has been forced to train alone by manager Brendan Rodgers because of his attitude and because of the saga, but he may be welcomed back now after making those comments and aftre revealing that he is thankful to all the Liverpool fans for their support.
These comments from Suarez come just days after he revealed that the club broke their promises after the Uruguayan revealed that he was promised a move away if the club didn’t reach Champions League football.
However, Rodgers reacted by saying no promises were made which evidently meant no promises were broken.
