The Blaugrana have already made it into the round of 32 of the Champions League this season from a tough group consisting of Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven. Valverde is well aware of the fact that his side has a long and hard season ahead of them and it is definitely a wise decision on his part to not involve Suarez in the match against the north London club.
Tottenham, on the other hand, will have to win against the Catalan giants to proceed to the next round, which is going to take a humongous effort from them as no visiting team have been able to achieve the incredible feat of beating Barcelona at Nou Camp since September 2013.
