David Luiz has urged Portuguese starlet Talisca to continue his development with Benfica and to resist a move to a big Premier League club.
The 20 year-old has impressed for the Reds this season, scoring eight goals in 10 games, and his impressive form has earned him a call-up to the Portuguese national side.
It is reported that numerous European clubs are tracking the forwards progress, as he looks a great -prospect, but compatriot and former Benfica man Luiz has urged the youngster to resist the temptation of the Premier League and remain with his employers.
The defender said “Talisca is having a great season and deserves the accolades he is getting from around the world.”
“Every year we see Benfica sell three or four players with six or seven others the subject of offers.
“Jorge Jesus empowers and teaches players though. Talisca still has plenty to learn and I’m sure he’ll get better in the future.”
However, the club may find it difficult to retains his services with the money Premier League clubs could lay up front for the frontman.
