Belgium star Romelu Lukaku has been ruled out of the team’s Nations League clash against Iceland due to a hamstring injury. Lukaku is currently the top scorer of League A of the Nations League, bagging a brace in both of Belgium’s matches.

Lukaku has been struggling with hamstring issues for a while. He missed Manchester United’s matches against Bournemouth and Juventus because of the same.

However, he came on as a substitute in last weekend’s Manchester Derby and won the penalty that led to Manchester United’s only goal of the match. Lukaku’s absence will give Michy Batshuayi an opportunity to start the match against Iceland.

There’s no telling if Lukaku will play Belgium’s final Nations League group game against Switzerland. Belgium have won both their Nations League group matches so far. A minimum of two points in their remaining matches should be enough to see them through to the Nations League finals.
