Arsenal winger Lukas Podolski has been ruled out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury.

The German international pulled up early in the second-half of the side’s 2-0 Champions League victory against Fenerbache at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night and it was clear to see that he had pulled his hamstring.

After making a powerful run down the line, Podolski then saw his cross blocked before falling to the ground clutching at him leg.

Two goals from Aaron Ramsey gave Arsenal the win on the night, but after the game, manager Arsene Wenger revealed the bad news on his German winger.

The boss said: “We paid a heavy price on the injury front because we lost Podolski. He’s definitely out for 21 days.”
