West Ham United keeper Lukasz Fabianski believes they are finally coming together as a team.

Following a busy summer transfer period, everyone had expected a positive start to the season under new manager Manuel Pellegrini. But the Hammers had to encounter a difficult test in the initial part as they lost their first four matches.

But their fate started to turn around as wins against Everton and Manchester United and a solitary point against Chelsea have upped their confidence.

Their solid display against Jose Mourinho’s side has helped themselves in securing the 14th place in the Premier League table and Fabianski feels it is the sign of a positive start.

The former Arsenal keeper said, “We knew after the performances against Chelsea and Everton that the team was starting to click.

“If we played with the intensity that we have shown in recent games, we knew that we would have a chance to get something out of the game against Manchester United and everyone can be really happy with what we showed on Saturday.

“The result, the three points and the performance were all really good. It’s a good step forward.

“We’ve been on an unbeaten run for four games after losing the first four. I just hope we continue to grow as a team and as a group. What we got from the last week is the belief we can compete against the top teams in the league.

“We have to continue to keep focused and work hard and get as much as we can from every single game.”
