Luke Shaw has said that Manchester United can still finish in top four.

The Red Devils went onto win their last match by a massive margin of 5-1 against Cardiff City under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has said that the Red Devils can still finish among the top four following a revived performance under their new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The former Manchester United striker and Champions League winner went onto making a statement in his very first match as the manager after taking charge as the Red Devils decimated their opponents Cardiff City by 5-1. Luke Shaw was a part of the squad which took the field after the departure of former manager Jose Mourinho.

The defensive ace said, “Of course we want the top four, we want to be playing in the Champions League next season.”

Shaw added, “Seeing the way we played, I don’t see why we can’t if we keep playing like that. There’s a very long way to go and we need to focus on how to catch up. We’re not too focused on the other teams’ scorelines at the moment. The main focus is us and the next four or five games are very winnable. But we can’t really be dropping points now with the situation we’re in. We need to focus on each game when it comes around and fight for every three points.”

The Red Devils are set to host Huddersfield Town in their next match in the Premier League on Wednesday.
