Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign Southampton fullback Luke Shaw.
Shaw, aged 18 is set to fly out to Brazil with England’s World Cup squad after winning a place on the plane following a superb season at St Mary’s Stadium.
And Shaw, who only made his England debut in March, has become a target for European Cup winners Real Madrid in the last few days and weeks.
The fullback has been strongly linked with both Manchester United and Chelsea, who are both set to table bids of around £30 million or so.
However a proposed move to Manchester United has hit the rocks, due to Patrice Evra signing a new deal at Old Trafford.
This could now tempt Real Madrid into making a large bid for the youngster, who could join fellow former Southampton academy graduate Gareth Bale in the Madrid squad.
