Luke Shaw has been adjudged the Manchester United player of the month for August. The youngster has had a breakthrough season so far and his efforts have paid off finally.
The left back started the season in an emphatic fashion and his contribution in the first four matches also earned him a call up to the England national team. Jose Mourinho has so far preferred Shaw over Ashley Young and the defender has repaid the faith with some extraordinary performances on the left side of the defence.
A number of injuries and inconsistent form had been the main reason of Shaw’s struggle at Old Trafford but the 23 year old has managed shrugged off all the difficulties as he has breathed new life to his football career this term. The former Southampton defender also netted his first goal in the 2-1 opening day win over Leicester City.
Shaw thanked the supporters for voting him to vows to continue his good form. “Thank you for your support and for voting me as Player of the Month.
“We’ve got the international break now and when we come back, we can focus on winning games for us and you.”
