Lyon issue HANDS OFF to Arsenal and Liverpool!

Lyon have issued a snub to Arsenal and Liverpool and told them to keep their hands off star striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The French international tops the goalscoring charts in Ligue 1 and with 22 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions this season, and many clubs have taken note.

Manchester City had been interested, but look likely to back away in the light of the Wilfred Bony deal, and so Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers will scrap it out if Lacazette does become available.

In a recent interview, Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas has said the 23-year-old sensation would be going nowhere.

Aulas said: “I don’t think there will be any movement for [Lacazette]. Our goal is to become a top European club in the next five years, and that’s why we don’t want to sell him.

“I spoke with Man City, but it was about other topics and not a transfer. There will be no departures in the winter and I also think the same in the summer.”

Of course Liverpool would like more strike force, and probably Arsenal too, but for now, it does look unlikely that this young Frenchman will be boarding the channel ferry any time soon.
