Reports from Algeria claim that the Gunners are close to sealing a deal for the Leicester man
Riyad Mahrez is nearing a move to Arsenal, according to reports from Algeria.
The reports have not been verified yet but they claim that the Leicester man has agreed a deal to make a move to the Emirates Stadium and a deal could soon be announced.
The player’s agent reportedly met with Arsene Wenger and after discussions, a deal was reached.
Leicester already lost Kante
However, Leicester will be extremely reluctant to let one of their star players leave, especially to a rival side. They’ve already managed to keep hold of Jamie Vardy by tying him down to a new deal but they have lost N’Golo Kante to Chelsea.
They won’t want to lose any more of their title winning side but if these reports are true, they may be about to lose a key part of that side.
Mahrez lit up the Premier League last year as Leicester stormed to the title and it’s no wonder he’s now wanted by several top sides.
Arsenal have been interested in a move for the 25-year old for the last few weeks and it appears a deal may now be in place to try and sign him.
