Man United have agreed a massive £63.9m fee for Angel Di Maria. According to Spanish football journalist Guilleme Balague, United have finally reached an agreement with Real madrid over a fee for the winger.
The Red Devils have been chasing the Argentina international for quite some time now and it looks like they could be set to finally land their man. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Di Maria is set to leave the club and that he has said goodbye to teammates. The Italian said:
“Di Maria has not trained. Its not yet official, but he is close to transfer. We thanked him for what he has done for us. Real Madrid has done everything possible to keep Di Maria. He has decided something else. Good luck to him.”
Former Red Devil Gary Neville has claimed that the winger is clearly happy with the signing, and said he would be a great fit for United. He said: “He can run and Manchester United haven’t got any pace in wide areas. It is incredible.
“They have Adnan Januzaj but they really have lost that variety. Last year the signings didn’t fit the bill for me in terms of what United are and the philosophy. This fits the bill if they can get Di Maria.”
