Club want German off their books fast

Manchester United are thought to be ready to give Bastian Schweinsteiger a massive £10million payoff to get him off their wage books in January.

The German legend has been completely frozen out at Old Trafford by Jose Mourinho, and has appears to have absolutely no future at Old Trafford.

United have conceded that they will have to give the midfielder a huge payoff to let him go, and are now letting him train with the first team again to prepare for a move.

The ex-Bayern Munich star is on £180,000-a-week and is owed around £18m in wages with two years left on his Old Trafford deal.

An Old Trafford insider said: “Bastian is fulfilling his obligations by training each day and is in terrific shape.

“He’s looking as good as he has since he arrived at the club.

“United are hoping a club will still come forward to take him off their hands in the upcoming window, but there are no takers as of yet.”
