Man United join race for Talisca

Man United have joined Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal in the pursuit of Brazilian youngster Talisca. Jose Mourinho was the only one of the four to be interested in a move, until he was included in Dunga’s most recent international squad.

This inclusion brought the player to the attention of Arsenal, Liverpool and now Man United. Boss Louis Van Gaal has even sent scouts to watch the 20-year old and he didn’t disappoint either – he netted the decisive goal at the Estadio da Luz.

Because of his potential, the Benfica starlet won’t be cheap – the Portuguese club are currently desperate for him to sign a new deal that includes a ÂŁ35m release clause. Talisca himself could opt to stay in Portugal as he said: “I am thinking only of Benfica. I’m ready, I know I have and am able to learn much from this wonderful group, with supporters and with the coach.”

However, all four Prem teams will still try to sign him and they will all do battle to try and secure his signature come January time.
