Manchester United are ready to hand Arturo Vidal the famous no.7 shirt ahead of his proposed move from Juventus.
United appear to be in the advanced stags of signing the Chilean, wih suggestions that he has asked for a move to Old Trafford, and that United have given him a preliminary medical. Now Italian media has said that manager Louis van Gaal has reserved the shirt number specially for Vidal in preparation for his arrival.
The shirt is currently vacant after United winger Antonio Valencia ditched it, but has been worn by a long line of United legend such as George Best, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.
