The Red Devils’ American scout is set to watch the player in action this weekend
Man United have sent a scout to watch new wonderkid, Alphonso Davies, in action this weekend.
According to reports today, the Red Devils have been alerted to the youngster (who is currently plying his trade in the MLS) and will send their American scout to watch him in action this weekend.
Davies currently plays for Vancouver Whitecaps and has impressed for the club’s younger sides, as well as in cup competitions. These performances have caught the attention of United, who are now ready to get a first hand look at the player.
He is just 15-years old but has already featured in several first-team games and is likely to start this weekend for the club too.
Kept away from publicity
Despite his young age, he has proven he can already cut it at the top level in America, as he has performed well in the MLS when given the chance so far.
Vancouver themselves are extremely reluctant to let go of Davies. They have been desperately trying to keep the wonderkid away from the spotlight and publicity so that he can focus on the football and also keep hold of him for a little while longer.
However, with United having caught the news of his talents, they may face a battle to keep hold of him. However, it could take a large bid to prise him away from America despite his tender age.
