£25million plus Adnan Januzaj in exchange for PSV winger!

Manchester United are considering an audacious ‘swap deal’ that could cost them £25million and the services of young Belgian, Adnan Januzaj.

That is what it may take to prise the highly rated Memphis Depay away from PSV Eindhoven. The talented Dutch winger is very much on the Red Devils radar, especially now that they are aware of PSV’s interest in Januzaj.

PSV’s sporting director is very keen to land Januzaj, albeit on loan, and would grab the chance to have him on the Dutch giants books.

‘If such a player like Adnan Januzaj would like to come and play Champions League football, you have a chance of making a temporary move’

21-year-old Depay has spent all of his career so far with PSV, playing over 125 games across all competitions, and helped the team win this year’s league title very comfortably.

The lightning quick winger, born in Moordrecht in Holland was part of the national under-17 squad which won the 2011 European Championship. He made his senior debut in 2013, and the following year was part of their squad which came third at the World Cup in Brazil.

Manchester United boss, Louis van Gaal would love to capture Depay at the beginning of his career, and the fact that the lad is also from his home country should sway things in Old Trafford‘s favour.

United have rather ‘flattered to deceive’ in recent games, and have lost all of their last three Premier League outings. With Liverpool only 4 points behind with 3 games to go, there is still no guarantee of Champions League football next year, and with PSV already safely in the competition, United may have to wait a little longer before any major discussions can take place.

Although United are still very much favourites to make it through to Europe’s elite club competition, Depay is unlikely to risk swapping Champions League for the lesser Europa League if the unthinkable was to happen. Time will tell.
