Manchester United will attempt to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils seemed to have turned a corner when they chalked up three successive victories by beating Everton, Bournemouth and, most impressively, Juventus, but took a step backwards before the international break as they were outplayed 3-1 by Manchester City in the derby.

The Red devils are eight on the Premier League table but manager Jose Mourinho has made a statement saying that Manchester United will be in the top four by the end of the year.

Head-to-Head Record

Crystal Palace will be hoping they can record their first ever victory over Manchester United on Saturday. They have not won in 18 previous attempts, only managing to draw on three occasions amongst the 15 victories amassed by Manchester United.

Roy Hodgson’s men were extremely close to victory in the last meeting between the two sides. A thunderbolt of a strike by Nemanja Matić secured a remarkable 3-2 victory for United after they had trailed 2-0.

Palace will know that any point gained on Saturday will be crucial in their bid for Premier League survival.

Recent Form

Manchester United will fancy their chances of victory, at home to a Crystal Palace team that has not been victorious in the Premier League since 15 September. In their quest for a top-four finish, United will know that only a win will do on Saturday.

On the other hand, Palace will be hoping for at least a point in their fight to avoid the drop. The Eagles have lost four of their last five matches, and are only outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
