Premier League duo Manchester City and Arsenal are showing interest in reprotedly unhappy Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez.
The former Athletico Bilbao midfielder has been a big loser under the Guardiola reign, and looks set to head out the exit door of the Allianz Arena, after losing his place to fellow Spaniard Thiago. a Spanish international, has been out of favour at the Bundesliga Champions.
According to reports, City and Arsenal are both interested in making a formal bid for the holding-midfielder with both managers keen to strengthen their sides ahead of next season.
It isn’t understood how much both English clubs are prepared to pay, but Munich would be holding out for at least £25million.
German newspaper Bild has quoted Martinez as saying that life under Guardiola is “not as I’d imagined it.”
