Manchester City boss doubts Tottenham and Liverpool

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes his side doesn’t have to worry about duo Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool being in the Premier League title race come May.

Despite being in eighth position currently in the league, City are the favourites to win the title according to betting sites as well as many football fans and pundits, but if they are to win their second league title, they are going to have to improve their form away from home.

Losses to Cardiff City, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Chelsea have damaged City’s incredible home record and Pellegrini and co. will be looking to sort out their form on their travels.

As well as people suggesting City are favourites, they also believe this will be one of the closest title races ever, but the boss only sees four teams competing in it come crunch time.

Pellegrini tips Chelsea, City, Manchester United and Arsenal all to be fighting for the title, whilst Spurs and Liverpool have been ruled out by the Chilean.

‘The Premier League is very close this year,’ he said. ‘There are six clubs challenging, with very little difference between one team and another.

‘We have a lot of points to fight for, and I think at the end it will be between Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.’
