According to recent reports, Manchester City are eager to sign Juventus attacker, Paulo Dybala but are facing stiff competition from Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola is known to be a huge admirer of the Argentine footballer who is arguably one of the best players in the Serie A. The 25-year-old has blossomed into stardom during his stay at Turin and is slowly developing a formidable partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo in the Bianconeri’s attack.
The Citizens have ignored making any additions this January but are eager to restrengthen ahead of the next campaign. However, Dybala’s talents are being strongly pursued by the European champions as well.
Madrid have not fared so well this season without Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo at the club. They are way off the race for the La Liga title and are struggling in general to hold a winning run.
They have set their sights on top European talents which include players like Eden Hazard, Christian Eriksen and Dybala. Florentino Perez reportedly will sanction a £90m trade offer for the latter which could spell trouble for City.
If Guardiola is really interested in the Argentine, he will have to ask the Etihad hierarchy to smash the transfer record of the club and of the Premier League.
