Monaco’s winger Thomas Lemar has been linked with a big move to the Premier League for the past two transfer windows, following a successful season last year at Monaco which culminated with the surprising Ligue 1 win and a Champions League semifinal.
But Monaco rejected every offer for him as they wanted keep hold of him after losing star players like Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy in the same transfer window last summer. The French giants rejected a £90m offer from Arsenal last year and even rebuffed offers from Liverpool.
Lemar has admitted that he was extremely disappointed when his move to either of the Premier League giants failed last summer. He hopes that they come again for him this summer.
Another Premier League team have joined the race for the Frenchman. Manchester City are also interested in the 22 year old reports Mirror.
Manchester City wants to strengthen their squad this summer after their disappointing campaign in the Champions League. After failure to sign Riyad Mahrez in the January transfer window, they are keen to add fresh attacking talents this summer. Pep Guardiola wants to bring Lemar after monitoring his performances for quite a time.
According to reports, City have to offer more than what Arsenal offered last year to lure Lemar away from France.
