Manchester City have recalled 19-year old Arijanet Muric to replace Claudio Bravo. The Chilean damaged his left Achilles tendon during training and will be out for a while.
Muric joined Eredevisie club NAC Breda on a season-long loan just three weeks back. However, he has been called back to City. Along with 20-year old Daniel Grimshaw, Muric will also be a cover for Ederson. He did play in Breda’s league opener against De Graafschap where he kept a clean sheet. NAC Breda won the match 3-0.
Muric who is Montenegrin by nationality has never played a game for Manchester City’s senior team. He played 16 matches for the U23 team during his year-long stay with them, making 3 clean sheets. Before that, he played 24 matches for City’s U18 team, making 9 clean sheets.
Manchester City play their next league fixture against Wolves on Saturday.
