Manchester City have rubbished reports claiming they are interested in signing Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.
The Ivorian international is set to leave Turkish side Galatasaray this Summer, and is reportedly close to agreeing a one-year deal back at Stamford Bridge before joining their coaching staff a year later.
However, reports broke this morning that Manuel Pellegrini could make a cheeky bid to sign the striker in order to cover for Alvaro Negredo’s injury which has ruled him out for at least three months.
Negredo has suffered a broke metatarsal and it is believed he will miss several months, which has left City with three recognised strikers, and Pellegrini is keen to have four.
Despite being down to three striker, reports close to the English champions have confirmed that there are no plans to make a move for Drogba.
