Manchester City to loan out striker?!

The price to take Man City striker Kelechi Iheanacho on loan next season could cost his suitors a £1m fee.

The Nigeria international is believed to have attracted interest from as many as eight clubs across Europe, who are all now waiting on approval from Pep Guardiola to take the youngster on loan.

The City boss remains a fan of the prolific 20-year-old despite not selecting him for a first-team start since January 2, following the arrival and good form of Gabriel Jesus, and the continued scoring form of Sergio Aguero, it has been hard for Guardiola to find space for Iheanacho.

It’s understood Iheanacho, however, is refusing to rock the boat and remains happy at the Etihad Stadium although he is open to spending a season elsewhere in order to get regular minutes on the pitch.

Talks are scheduled before the player leaves for his summer break, with City said to be willing to discuss the situation with the player and outline what move he feels is best for his career.

Bundesliga side Hoffenheim are leading the chase but Portuguese giants Porto, who attempted to sign Kelechi before he joined City from Nigeria’s Taiwo Academy back in 2014, are also said to be interested.
