Will Pep get his man?
Manchester City are set to renew their interest in Arsenal star Hector Bellerin.
City registered their interest in the right-back as early as last season, but the rumours were quashed when Bellerin signed a new deal at Arsenal in November, making him one of the highest-paid players at the club.
However, City don’t appear to be phased by the news, and will still try and a sign the Spaniard in the upcoming summer transfer window- with Arsenal unlikely to sell one of their top players in January.
After signing a six-and-a-half-year deal, Bellerin said: ‘I’ve been here for a long time and I feel like this is my home so this was the right thing to do. I’m really happy to be a Gunner for a few more years
This is my home. The club who gave me my first opportunity.’
City have a history of signing Arsenal players ever since they were taken over by the mega-rich Sheikh Mansour. Stars including Emmanuel Adebayor, Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Kolo Toure have all made the move from North-London to Manchester since 2009.
