Club photographer revealed medical took place yesterday
Manchester United are close to announcing the signing of Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin after it was revealed that he had a medical at Carrington yesterday.
The Saints midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away from St Marys this summer, after failing to finalise a move last year, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur interested.

However, it now looks like he’s set to complete a formal move to Old Trafford after undergoing a medical at the club last night.
Club photographer, Craig Norwood, tweeted the following last night: “Morgan Schneiderlin arrived into Carrington five-minutes after Bastian Schweinsteiger this evening. Medical done, now a #MUFC player.”
It’s believed the fee will be close to £30million, after Southampton initially rejected a bid worth around £20m.
A formal announcement of the deal is expected to be made later today before United jet off on their pre-season tour of America.
Officials at the club and Louis Van Gaal are hopeful that the Frenchman will be joining them on the tour so that he can get used to his new team-mates and new club.
Fourth Arrival
Schneiderlin will become United’s fourth summer signing, following Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
United have beaten Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham to the signing of the 25-year-old.
