Manchester United are interested in Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata, but they are yet to make a formal bid for the Spaniard.
It was reported earlier that The Blues would sell the 25-year-old to their fierce-rivals, as long as they stump up £40million for the midfield-maestro.
Sources close to United have stated that their is interest in the player and David Moyes is keen to add him to his squad, but so far, nothing formal has come out of it and they will wait until later this month until they decide whether or not to pursue their interest.
Mata has struggled to break into the first-team this season under Jose Mourino and hasn’t featured for the club since New Year’s Day, but the asking-price put on his head may be a stumbling block for potential buyers.
