Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has heaped praise upon striker Javier Hernandez after he scored against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night.
The Mexican striker has shown how lethal he is in front of goal time and time again, yet he still finds himself down the pecking order behind the likes of Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck.
His appearances were limited under Sir Alex Ferguson and it now looks like David Moyes doesn’t see him as a regular either.
Despite the lack of game-time though, when Hernandez does appear, he seems to score and for that, he has won the praise from his team-mate, Jonny Evans.
“We see it every day in training,” he said.
“You always have to be aware of him. He only takes a yard to get a goal.
“That is the type of lad he is. Against Stoke a couple of years ago he scored a goal with the back of his head.
“He loves scoring goals.”
