Sidibe could be joined by his teammate Fabinho at United

Manchester United wants to bolster their squad this summer so they could challenge for title next season. Jose Mourinho is already planning a major overhaul and wants to add reinforcements especially in the defense. The Portuguese earlier claimed that he will not buy any attacker and will only look for defenders in the summer.

United’s both full-back Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian have fallen out of favor and looks likely to leave this summer. And with Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia both soon to turn 33, Mourinho is looking to inject some youth into his side.

And Mourinho is looking at the possibility of signing Sidibe. According to French news outlet Le10Sport, the Portuguese has already begun early negotiations to lure the 25-year-old to the Premier League with the full back also keen for a move. They claim that the manager is a big admirer of the Monaco star and has already let him know of his desire to nab him.

Sidibe has impressed for the Ligue 1 holders this campaign, who are at 2nd place in the league table. He was part of the Monaco’s successful campaign last year where he won Ligue 1 title and reached semi-final in the Champions League. He can operate down either plank which could be another reason why Mourinho likes him.

Sidibe could be joined by his club teammate Fabinho, who is also linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.

The Frenchman has scored 3 goals and provided 8 assists for Monaco in all competitions this season.
