Manchester United have quickly become favourites to sign Racing Genk star Leon Bailey.

The winger has netted 15 goals in 53 games for Genk since making his debut for the Belgian Pro League side last year and has continuously been linked with a move to the Premier League ever since.

ESPN FC claim that the Red Devils have taken over the race to sign the Jamaican starlet, even though Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are still interested.

It is reported that United’s chief scout Jim Lawlor was in the stands at the Cristal Arena as Bailey bagged once again in a 3-1 win over Sassuolo in the Europa League last week.

Chelsea and Antonio Conte in particular are keen admirers of the teenager and could break the bank to sign Bailey next summer.

Bailey was recently put on the shortlist for the Golden Boy award, which also includes Premier League stars such as Marcus Rashford, Leroy Sane and Dele Alli.

The Jamaica U23 international also won the Young Footballer of the Year award at the end of the 2015/16 season after putting in a string of highly impressive performances.
