Manchester United legend Paul Scholes thinks that Paul Pogba should stay at Old Trafford. Scholes thinks that the Frenchman is not showing enough ‘desire’ for the club. The United skipper has been linked to Barcelona for quite some time.
Scholes said, “Paul needs to perform more than he is doing, we know the talent he has. He is only doing it one in four games, if you are to challenge for the title, that is not enough. He showed desire against Leicester but he should show that every week. He should have been made captain when we signed him, give him some responsibility, there is not one standout person.
Hopefully he can keep it. He started OK, nothing special, but if he can thrive with responsibility then keep him with the armband.”
Scholes added, “I just don’t see Pogba as a Barcelona type player. We hope he stays, every team wants to keep their best players and we want him to stay. He has amazing qualities but has not shown them enough. Hopefully he can drive united to a title challenge.”
Manchester United play their next Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.
