Red Devils have launched £60million bid

Manchester United have made a £60million bid for Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, according to reports in Germany.

United have missed out on signing Pedro from FC Barcelona as he closes in on a move to rivals-Chelsea, and it’s believed that they will now turn their attentions to Muller.

The Red Devils cooled their interest in Pedro when Barca revealed they wouldn’t accept anything lower than his release clause, which is around £22m, which allowed Chelsea to swoop in and complete the deal.

LVG wants Muller

Louis Van Gaal is a massive admirer of Muller and is desperate to bring him to Old Trafford.

According to reports in Germany, Muller has had numerous encounters with Pep Guardiola since the manager took over in 2013, and the 25-year-old could be tempted with a move to the Premier League.

United and Munich have been in negotiations already this summer when Bastian Schweinsteiger completed the move from the Allianz Arena to Old Trafford, and it’s reported that Muller could be tempted to make the same transfer.

However, Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has confirmed that the forward is not for sale.

“Muller is not for sale. Our English colleagues seem to be unable to spend all of their money.”
