Manchester United midfielder Thomas Cleverley has urged his team-mates to make sure they can push on from their victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday by going on an impressive winning-streak.
A first-half header from Robin Van Persie was enough to give United all three-points and cut the gap between the two teams to just five points.
The Red Devils have been under a lot of pressure recently, but Cleverley feels the win over the league leaders gives them a push in the right direction.
Cleverley said: “Seeing the weekend’s results, we knew it was an extra-important three points.
“We didn’t want the league leaders to go 11 points ahead of us, now we are back in the mix.
“We are ahead of City and not far behind Chelsea, and we have also played some very tough games out of our opening 11.
“I am sure we can now get a run together and get right up to the top again.”
