According to The Express, United are on the look for a new left-back to provide stronger depth in their defensice department, with manager Louis Van Gaal confident that Marcelo is the right option.
It is believed that Real are open to offers for the 26-year-old hence the Spanish club keen on bring Bayern Munich’s David Alaba to the Santiago Bernabeu.
And though Van Gaal is also eyeing up a deal for Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba, it is reported that United are more likely to land Marcelo instead.
