Premier League side Manchester United are preparing to make a £20million bid for Juventus midfielder Claudo Marchisio, as David Moyes looks to strengthen his side’s struggling midfield.
The new United boss was desperate to sign a centre-midfielder back in the Summer, but after failing to capture Cesc Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara, the former-Everton boss returned to his old club and signed Marouane Fellaini for £27million, but so far, the Belgium has failed to impress.
Now several months into the season, United are desperately in search for new players as they sit way off the Champions League places and on a current three-game losing streak, something that hasn’t happened for nearly two decades.
Reports in Italy have suggested that United officials have got in touch with Juve and discussed a potential transfer and they have told the Turin club that they are prepared to spend £20million on the 27-year-old.
Despite not being a first-team regular however, it is believed that Marchisio has told the club that he wants to remain there at least until the Summer.
