Manchester United will make a fresh move for AS Roma midfielder, Kevin Strootman, in January, with Louis Van Gaal set for yet another spending spree.
The Dutchman spent over £150million for United over the Summer, and has been told by the club’s officials that he can once again spend freely in the Winter window, as they look to return to Champions League football.
Strootman has been a long-term United target, with Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes both interested in the midfielder, but knee injuries have prevented any potential deals, but after returning to the first-team in recent weeks, the Dutch midfielder is now fit and could now complete a move to Old Trafford.
However, United will have to bid big in order to sign the midfielder, with Roma refusing any offer lower than £32million.
