Manchester United manager David Moyes has sent out a group of scouts to Spain in order to watch Athletico Bilbao’s Ander Herrera.
The Red Devils made a bid for the midfielder back in the summer, estimated around £27million, but their deadline day offer was rejected as the Spanish club wanted at least £30million for the Spaniard.
Moyes, who took over in the summer from Sir Alex Ferguson, was desperate to land a new midfielder and after failing to capture both Thiago and Cesc Fabregas of FC Barcelona, he turned his attentions to Herrera.
Eventually, United signed Marouane Fellaini from Everton, but Moyes is still after more midfielders and he is weighing up whether or not to make an improved bid for the 24-year-old in the January transfer window.
