Manchester United manager David Moyes has sent two of his scouts out to Spain in order to watch La Liga duo Diego Costa and Ander Herrera.

The Red Devils are in desperate need of new signings in order to add strength and depth to their side, and after being dumped out of the FA Cup in the third round by Swansea City, Moyes is now even more in need of making some mega-signings for the club.

Back in the Summer, when Moyes was first appointed as United boss, the club failed to make any signings of note until deadline day, when they splashed ÂŁ27million on Marouane Fellaini from Everton.

However, Moyes was watching several star players from Spain, including Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrera, and despite failing to capture the midfield-man, it is thought that Moyes will go back in for a bid this month, hoping that he can add depth to his midfield.

With injuries to both Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney, Moyes is also keen on adding more striking options to the club and has ordered one of his scouts to go and watch Arsenal-target Diego Costa from Atletic Madrid.

The striker has been in fine form so far this season and will certainly help United out of their current fall from grace.
