Red Devils won’t accept anything lower for the goalkeeper

Manchester United have rubbished reports claiming they have come to an agreement with Real Madrid for David De Gea.

According to reports in Spain, United and Madrid have reached a compromise over the Spaniard’s future, but that is not the case and the Premier League side will not sell the ‘keeper for anything under £35million.

Spanish Reports Wrong

Spanish newspaper AS claimed that United were prepared to accept a bid of £25m for the shot-stopper, with Madrid only valuing the 24-year-old at around £15m.

However, a club source at Old Trafford has rubbished reports that they are prepared to accept a £25m bid and has also confirmed that no formal bid has been made as of yet.

If Madrid do end up paying the £35m that United want, it would be a world record fee for a goalkeeper, but they may wait to make their move next year.

Free Agent Next Summer

The La Liga giants could sign De Gea for a free this time next year as the ‘keeper’s contract is set to expire in 2016 and he has no plans on extending it as of yet.

De Gea has already snubbed a new long-term deal at Old Trafford worth £200k-a-week.
