Manchester United are planning to offer four of their young stars new deals at Old Trafford in order to secure their long-term future.

David De Gea, Phil Jones, Danny Welbeck and Thomas Cleverley are all expected to be offered new deals soon, which will see them remain at the club for the next few years at least.

The first three mentioned still have two years left on their current deals, but Cleverley is now entering his final 14-months on his deal, and despite having a poor season, the club are still desperate to keep hold of him for the future.

According to reports, United have already held formal talks with Jones’ representitives over a new deal, after David Moyes has been impressed with his improvement over the past year.

Jones could be a big-part player for The Red Devils next season with both Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic leaving the club.

De Gea, Welbeck and Cleverley will also open talks with the club in the near-future as Moyes is keen to look towards his younger players as he tries to turn around his career at Old Trafford.
